Bio: Pathways to Employment is an exciting, 3 year project being run by Groundwork South Essex in the Thames Gateway area. It operates in Basildon, Castelpoint, Thurrock, Rochford and Southend boroughs. Like the Department for Community, Schools and Families, we believe that being out of education, employment or training (NEET) between the ages of 16 – 25 is an enormous waste of young people’s potential and their contribution to society. As such, we aim to help reduce the proportion of NEET young people by: * Increasing the employability of adults and young people. * Maximising the potential of young people by brokering them into volunteering opportunities and supporting them as they gain and or improve work skills. * Improving the skill levels of people with limited formal qualifications. * Creating new volunteering opportunities across all sectors, catering for various interests.

Bio: The Southend Utd Football in the Community Scheme was first launched in 1991. Many of the original activities are still being delivered, including after schools coaching, holiday soccer fun weeks and recreational activities for senior citizens. In 2004 the Football In The Community Scheme became a Community and Educational Trust - a company limited by guarantee and registered as a charity. Our board of trustees include representatives from Education, the Police, Local Authority and the Local Voluntary Services. As all good community organisations must do, Southend United Community and Educational Trust has responded to the changing needs of our local community, successfully adapting current work programmes and providing innovative new services. Our Mission Statement... "To provide sporting, recreational and educational activities that will enhance both the personal and social development of all participants." Our Vision... "To work in partnership with communities, continuing to deliver an inclusive range of educational, sporting and social opportunities, improving the quality of life for individuals and neighbourhoods in South East Essex."
Requested Services: Southend United Community and Educational Trust are looking for ordinations that can provide transport volunteers technical expertise mentors for young people and redundant office equipment. Through developing a good CSR relationship with a business Southend United Community and Educational Trust will be able to proved PR exposure and ticket and hospitality opportunities.
