About Us
Connect South Essex is a Community Action Groundwork project, which promotes the active involvement of South Essex businesses to improve their Corporate Social Responsibility activities within the local community.
The aim of the project is to build on the Corporate Social Responsibility work, already going on in many areas of South Essex and highlight the positive impact it has on businesses, charities and the volunteer organisations

Groundwork South Essex
Groundwork South Essex is an environmental & regeneration charity. We manage and deliver a wide range of projects, from developing community greenspace to providing assistance into employment.
We run an educational programme within local schools, highlighting the benefits of growing your own food and promoting healthy eating. We also work closely with young people and out of work adults, helping them gain confidence, experience and skills to improve their future prospects and current well-being. We support businesses with advice and training, and help volunteers to make most of the environment, giving them the opportunity to carry out conservation work. In doing so, we are building communities and building a better future.
Groundwork South Essex is a charitable trust delivering green projects through local, regional and national partners. We are part of the national Groundwork Federation.
Our vision is for a society of connected communities – vibrant, healthy and safe – respecting the environment and helping enterprise and individuals to prosper.
